Francesca Dardani is known for the versatility of her playing, allowing her to expand her musical career as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player.
She has performed throughout Italy, the United States, France, Sweden, Holland, Germany, Spain and Switzerland. Performances include venues such as Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Alice Tully Hall, the London BBC Proms, the Royal Albert Hall, the Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), the Ingolstadt Audi Sommerkonzerte (Germany), and the Snape Maltings Concert Hall (England). Francesca currently performs alongside members of the Berliner Philharmoniker, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, and the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra.
Francesca is an avid chamber musician and has been invited to participate and perform in many festivals including the Mozarteum Sommerakademie (Salzburg), the Bowdoin International Music Festival, the Sarasota Music Festival, the International Holland Music Session, Aldeburgh Festival, the London Masterclasses, the Aurora Chamber Music Festival (Sweden), the IMS Prussia Cove, and the Edinburgh Festival (Scotland).
She has worked with prominent artists and teachers like Maxim Vengerov, Pamela Frank, Pavel Vernikov, Mauricio Fuks, Miriam Fried and performed under the baton of Oliver Knussen, Simon Rattle, Sir Mark Elder, Edward Gardner, Robin Ticciati, Semyon Bychkov, Mark Wigglesworth, Pablo Heras- Casado and many more.
She was a member of the orchestra Archi De Sono String Orchestra (Torino), iPalpiti Artists (Los Angeles), Mimesis Ensemble, American Symphony Orchestra, principal second a the Britten Pears Orchestra (England), and former co-principal of the opera Orchestra Teatro Regio (Parma).
Francesca has performed in major concert venues, and radio broadcasts as well as on motion picture and independent film soundtracks, she can also be frequently seen performing regularly with different ensembles all over NYC (where she is currently based) at venues like Lincoln Center, Symphony Space, Carnegie Hall, the Beacon Theater, Prudential Hall, Madison Square Garden and Barclay Center. She appeared on national television in live performances such as The Tonight Show, America’s Got Talent Season 9 and 10, The David Letterman Show, Good Morning America ,PBS specials, the MET Gala, Billboard Music Awards, the Grammy Awards, Governors Ball and more.
Popular artists she has performed on tours or shared the stage with recently include Stevie Wonder, Madonna, Rihanna, Halsey, John Legend, St.Vincent, Kesha, KYGO, Sir Paul McCartney, Elvis Costello, the Roots, Andrea Bocelli, Megan Trainoir, Leona Lewis, Calum Scott, OK Go, Skyler Grey, Audra Day, First Aid Kit, DJ David Guetta, Ed Sheeran, Josh Groban, Camila Cabello, Bebe Rexha, Cindy Lauper, Julia Michaels and many more.
Francesca regularly contracts strings musicians for studio sessions and live performances.
She aperformed for orchestras on and off Broadway ( Sweeney Todd, Hamilton, Matilda, Found etc..)
Italian-Chinese American, Francesca was born and raised in Parma, Italy, and began her violin studies at the age of eight. Following studies at the Conservatorio A. Boito (Parma) after receiving a scholarship from DeSono Associazione, she was accepted at the Mannes College of Music in New York to study with Lewis Kaplan. She graduated with a Bachelor of Music in 2010, and continued her studies with Krzysztof Wegrzyn in Hannover (Germany). Francesca received a Master of Arts degree from the Royal Academy of Music, London, in 2013 under the tutelage of Richard Deakin.
